The Text Store plugin is a freeware authoring tool that allows users to insert character-formatted boilerplate text into their documents. The text is stored in a configuration file and can be re-used between FrameMaker sessions.
Features
- From the Text Store dialog box you can add, remove, and modify boilerplate text entries of up to 255 characters in length. The text entries are stored in a configuration file in the /fminit/Plugins folder of your FrameMaker installation directory.
- Once you have created your entries, you can choose the desired text from the scroll-list and insert it at the selection point into the document with input focus. You may also specify if the inserted text is highlighted after insertion.
- You can apply a character format to the text insertion, or simply use the target paragraph / character format ('As Is'). When you switch input focus, the character format list is refreshed to accommodate any character-tag differences between documents.
- This tool is particularly useful for users who want to insert common, yet unwieldy, boilerplate text entries into their documentation without exporting new variable definitions

Installation
To install and license the Text Store plugin, do the following:
- Download the archive containing the plugin from the link provided at the top of this page.
- Extract the contents to the /fminit/Plugins folder of your FrameMaker installation directory.
- Start or restart FrameMaker. The utility is added to the main toolbar under the heading Zenserve.
